Rick D.

Born and raised in Richmond, VA, Rick spent most of this childhood running, playing sports, and enjoying summers off from school. He met many of his life long friends and soon-to-be fellow RAGA members in high school, where passion for sports, competition, and socializing were daily activities.

Rick's introduction into the game of golf came from his grandmother who supplied Rick with is first set of clubs shortly after his time at the Univ. of Virginia. Still living in Charlottesville, Rick spent time after work using those clubs on a local driving range.

Upon returning to Richmond in 2004, Rick reconnected with his high school friends and began friendly rounds. Shortly after, Rick committed to the annual golf trip, The Donkey Cup (aka, The Hackers Convention), in 2005. Rick increased his golf playing through his rounds with is father to a variety of local Richmond courses. In 2009, Rick, Steve, and Jon N. became the orginal founders of the Virginia Golf Championships (Majors) complete for 4 annual majors a year. By 2015, this friendly competition among friends evovled into the RAGA tour and RVA Cup.
