The history of the masters can be traced back to 2009, when shortly after the first ever major, The British Open, a tournament was designed to be conducted over two rounds on the very prestigious Williamsburg courses: Kingsmill (River) & Golden Horseshoe (Gold). July 30th & 31st, 2009 saw a epic display of golfing fortitude.

Ever since those hot, late July days, The Masters has held a place of honor and esteem reverence. Anyone who can say they've worn the green jacket has done so like a coat of arms, boasting of great triumph on a field of battle, over lush greens, towering oaks, and glistening waters.
