Friendly, end-of-the-summer-season round on a Saturday afternoon! Bring on the fall and some cooler weather! A true battle between Steve, Todd, Mike, and Rick went down the the final hole in both stroke play and the erado side game. Rick prevailed with a clutch, green side bunker sand save.

The game was close the entire round with only a few shots separating the leader from the field in an ebb and flow round. Steve fell behind after two holes but make a perfect-hole eagle on the par 5 3rd! Rick kept it consistent on the front 9 with 3 pars and the rest single bogies to shoot a 42. Mike is struggling through a swing change and had 3 doubles on the opening 9, a triple on 13 yet still had a chance going into the final hole only 4 back. Todd match Rick's 42 on the front and birdied the par 5 11th (had a putt for eagle) giving him a 1 shot lead. But Todd suffered a triple bogie and a broken 7 Iron on the difficult-for-everyone 13th hole, allowing the field back in. Ultimately he relenquished the lead to Rick after another triple bogie on the par 5 16th after his tee-shot found the water.

The field suffered through holes 11 thru 15 with no one being able to break away. Steve's triple and quad on 13 and 14 respectively (and after using all his erados) took him out of contention...or so it seemed. Rattling off 3 straight pars he was only 3 back going into the final hole. Todd's bogie on 17 left him 2 back, of Rick who parred 16 and 17, taking the lead into the final hole. A safe drive by Rick was only partly a comfort as his chasers had difficulties off the tee. Rick's approach found the front-right green side bunker with his competitors recovering well from their tee shots. A clutch sand-shot almost dropped, leaving a tap-in for par and a 4 shot victory.
