The Crossings
“Located in the midst of American Civil War battlefields, The Crossings Golf Club in Richmond, Virginia is a Joe Lee-designed, 18-hole championship layout. The Joe Lee-designed layout makes optimal use of the natural landscape in what was once known as the Halfe Sink area. The Crossings features rolling fairways that are bordered by dense forest and strategically placed bunkers. The front nine offers several holes that begin with an elevated tee shot to the landing area below. The Crossings Golf Club is one of the most playable and scenic championship tests of golf in southern Virginia.”
RAGA take: The Crossings course provides a friendly staff and modest clubhouse. A putting green and driving is conveniently located just behind the clubhouse, adjacent to the first tee. The course is typically in good condition but can suffer from weather conditions, leaving greens and bunkers not in optimal states. Conveniently located for anyone in the city and north, the course is short but challenging.
Hanover, VA presents The Crossings as an ideal North-of-Richmond option for golf tucked conveniently between I-95N, I-295, and rt.1
