As we wind down the 2017 campaign, so do the number of golfers available to play on any given weekend. Rick, Mike, and Todd rally to take on a familiar course. Follow along as these three candidates look to get voted most likely to win at Sycamore Creek.

The debate began with an opening statement by Todd as he birdied the 1st as Rick found par and Mike, bogey. Early returns showed Todd going up 3 after 2 holes and was able to keep his opponents on the defensive throughout the first half. A par on the par-3 8th put Todd up 2 over Rick and 3 over Mike which is were it stood at the midway point.

Jabs were thrown and taken on the first holes of the back 9 but some skeletons came out to haunt Todd on 12 leading to a double-par and squaring things all up between each of the candidates, it will be a race to the polls in the last six holes. It was Mike who looked like the people’s choice, jumping out to a 4 point lead over Todd going into the last question - 18. Rick’s gaffe on 16 took him out of the running. A last minute, grass-roots campaign was going to be the only thing that would let Rick or Todd take this election. Miraculously, a series of “fake” news reports circulating social media turned the tide against Mike as he took a quad on the final hole as Todd made up the 4 shot deficit to tie Mike at 88 with Rick ending up 2 behind. Looks like things couldn’t be decided during this cycle of 18 holes, these two will need settle things in a run-off.
