Sycamore Creek

“The rolling fairways, strategically placed bunkers, natural wetlands and undulating putting surfaces, make Sycamore Creek Golf Course a delightful challenge for players of all ability. The course is a signature Michael Hurdzan design, with no two holes the same. Not an especially long course, pinpoint shot-making and golf course management skills are a must to master this course. Verdant fairways, manageable roughs, manicured greens, and glistening bunkers are the norm, not the exception.”

RAGA take: Easily one of the most played courses on the RAGA tour. And like the clubhouse, the course is simple and as inviting as they come - the calm before the storm, however. The first tee is wide open, side-by-side with the 10th, but that will be your only forgiveness on the tee box. There are no gimmicks here, what you see is what you get. A drivable par 4 is only a few hole before “the hardest par 4 in Richmond,” according to one touring member. Be prepared for a wide variety of greens that never quite break as much as they appear and a need for every shot in your bag.

Located in Manakin-Sabot, VA just west of Richmond, Sycamore Creek offers an 18-hole course easy access from I-64, I-295, rt.288, and rt.150.
